James Bay Consulting is an independent technology firm specializing in Data Architecture and Business Intelligence consulting services.  The firm's goal is to provide Information Technology consulting services that consistently exceed client expectations.  James Bay Consulting was incorporated in May 2000 and is based in Victoria, British Columbia.

Gary Belleville, Senior BI Consultant

Gary Belleville has been succesfully delivering IT consulting services since 1991 and is a former Technology Leader in Sierra Systems' BI Practice. Although he has a diverse set of skills and experience, he is particularly skilled at the following roles:

• Data Architect
• BI Architect
• Dimensional Modeler
• Metadata Layer Designer
• ETL Developer
• Reports Developer.

Gary is a strong proponent of the Kimball Methodology and is well-versed in BI/DW fundamentals. He is proficient with Sparx Enterprise Architect, the SAP Business Objects suite (Data Services, Universe Designer and Web Intelligence) and the Cognos suite of tools (Framework Manager, Report Studio and Data Manager).

Prior to moving into the Business Intelligence space, Gary spent approximately 16 years developing Oracle-based systems. During this time, he developed strong data modeling and database design skills. He also acquired a significant amount of metadata expertise through his Data Architecture work.
